Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) can now be used as proof of English language ability by applicants for a government-funded scholarship programme in Australia.
The Australian Government’s Department of Education and Training has confirmed that Cambridge English: Advanced can be used as part of the application process for the 2017 round of their Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships, which is expected to open in April 2016.
The Government-funded programme comprises Scholarships and Fellowships awarded for study, research and professional development in Australia, to support the internationalisation of Australian higher education and research.
International Endeavour applicants are required to submit evidence of their English language proficiency. Cambridge English: Advanced is also accepted in Australia by the government’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) and by the majority of Australian higher education institutions. The new acceptance for the Endeavour scholarships means applicants can use just one exam to meet the requirements for their visa, university and scholarship application.
Cambridge English: Advanced is an in-depth and level-based exam which can help educational institutions to be confident of an applicant’s level of English. It is accepted by more than 6,000 organisations and institutions globally, including by all of the prestigious Group of Eight institutions in Australia. The exam is available in our global network of test centres in more than 100 countries, with test dates at least twice a month.
