The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine is the latest educational institution to recognise Cambridge English: Advanced as proof of English language ability.
Students applying to the London-based school can now use the high-level English test to prove they have the minimum English language skills needed to study on postgraduate courses. Nicola Johnson, Development Manager at Cambridge Assessment English, says Cambridge English: Advanced offers more than just a "snapshot" of a student's English:
"Cambridge English: Advanced is a high level test aimed at people who want to use English in academic or professional life,” she explains. “The test is an ideal way for universities to ensure their students have the language skills they need to cope with academic life. It gives students the confidence to communicate in academic and social contexts, which is really important for successful study."
Cambridge English: Advanced is recognised by more than 3,000 universities, employers and government agencies worldwide.
Celebrating its centenary year, Cambridge Assessment English is the world’s leading provider of language assessment for learners and teachers of English, with over four million candidates a year in 130 countries. It is a part of the world-renowned University of Cambridge, which is regularly placed No. 1 in rankings of the world's universities.
