Advances in technology have made us more connected than ever before, and many educational benefits are possible as a result of this. Digital citizenship enables teachers and learners to participate fully in our global society in the 21st century. However, being part of an online community presents challenges and, in particular, educators need to consider safety and welfare issues related to using the Internet.
In this webinar, we will discuss what it means to be a digital citizen and what teachers’ responsibilities are in relation to their own e-safety and wellbeing, and that of their learners. We will discuss practical ways to incorporate digital citizenship into professional development and classroom practice, and provide tips and suggestions to take away.
