Overview:
This webinar discusses the ways in which technology can be used to create effective, engaging and relevant activities for students. We will make particular reference to IELTS and Cambridge English: First, but the content will be of interest to anyone interested in using digital resources to support learning. The main aim of the session is to introduce teachers to digital tools that they can experiment with and provide practical ideas for how they might implement these in the classroom and outside the classroom.
Presenters:
Anna Stanton
Anna Stanton is Head of Education Technology at Cambridge English with 15 years’ experience in ELT. She is an experienced product developer in learning technology. She has taught at all levels, worked as a school Principal and Director of Studies, and trained teachers in all aspects of digital learning.
Mary Whiteside
At Cambridge English, Mary is responsible for developing digital content for the Teaching English section of the website, and working with educational experts on Cambridge English Teacher. She has extensive experience in English language teaching, teacher development and teacher training. She has worked in teacher education for many years, developing online and face to face materials and resources for teachers, and providing training to teachers on DELTA, CELTA, BA and MA courses.
