Who is the Roadshow for?
The Roadshow is intended for school teachers who
- want to find out more about offering the Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE), Cambridge English: Key for Schools (KET) or Cambridge English: Preliminary for Schools (PET) tests
or
- have recently started preparing learners for these tests
Why should you attend?
You will benefit from the chance to
- learn from approved Cambridge English presenters
- participate in activities for the classroom
- share experiences with colleagues
- take away material or ideas for lessons and activities
- experience different teaching techniques
There is no charge for these events, which have been organized to support the Cambridge English Teacher community. We will also provide a certificate of attendance for delegates.
We have a limited number of seats for each roadshow so please register online as soon as possible. Joining instructions will be sent to you when you have registered.
About the speaker: Meltem Bottomley
Meltem Bottomley graduated from Marmara University, English Language Teaching Department in 1994. She has a postgraduate certificate in British Cultural Studies from Warwick University. She worked as an EFL and substitute teacher at various levels in Scotland for nine years. She’s has been a freelance teacher trainer since 2011. She worked as a Speaking Examiner but now prefers doing presentations. Meltem is a constant learner and believes that learning is contagious. She is a mother of two and loves being kept busy.
About the speaker: Bige Erkmen
Bige Erkmen has over forty years’ experience as an English teacher, teacher educator, and manager. Now working freelance, she has taught EFL, EAP, and Business English. Bige has run teacher training courses at BA level as well as programmes on teacher development at various universities and language schools, and has been actively involved in curriculum design, materials development and testing. Having worked as director, unit head, and coordinator in a number of institutions, she also has extensive managerial experience.
