Cambridge English: Advanced, Proficiency and IELTS* are the only English tests that are listed as accepted proof of English language ability for an Argentinian government scholarship programme at UK universities.
The Bec.ar initiative offers scholarships to students planning to study master’s degrees in science, technology and engineering. For the first time the UK has been included in this programme.
Petra Olsson from Cambridge English said, 'Cambridge English: Advanced and Proficiency are in-depth, level-based exams which can help institutions be confident of an applicant’s English language ability’.
The scholarship asks for a minimum English language level as part of the application, with Cambridge English exam score requirements specified as:
- IELTS (academic): Band 6.5
- Cambridge English: Advanced: 176
- Cambridge English: Proficiency: 176
Cambridge English exams are recognised by more than 20,000 organisations and institutions globally.
*IELTS is jointly owned and managed by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English.
