Matthew is a PRINCE2-qualified project manager who is currently working with the Ministry of Education in Malaysia to reform their English language education system.
Matthew joined Cambridge English five years ago within International Marketing Support, before moving into the Brand Development team. He played a role in the recent rebranding of Cambridge English, managing specific work packages within the wider programme. Matthew also worked on the management of marketing systems and processes, initiating and managing business change in these areas. He project managed the production of marketing materials and teacher support resources, such as teacher handbooks for our qualifications.
Matthew then joined our English language consultancy team, managing the delivery of English language education initiatives and undertaking research to build up a detailed profile of the countries in which we operate. This research is used to give us a deep understanding of existing education systems and local context, ensuring solutions are developed that can be seamlessly integrated and deliver lasting benefits. Matthew has also been responsible for marketing within the our team, supporting the development of a profile-raising strategy and managing initiatives to show the scope and impact on the powerful work we do as an organisation in partnership with clients all around the world.
Prior to Cambridge English, Matthew worked for the UK distributor of a US-based chemical company in a multifaceted role with a particular focus on strategy and project managing initiatives to improve operational efficiency and development of the business.
Matthew holds a degree in Criminology and Contemporary Culture, a CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing, and the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner project management certificates. He has also completed A101: The Principles of Assessment, a course run by the Cambridge Assessment Network.
