Three digital experts from Cambridge Assessment English picked up awards at a prestigious awards ceremony designed to recognise women in technology in the East of England. The DevelopHer Awards were set up in 2015 to recognise achievements of women currently in the industry and to inspire future generations.
The winners from Cambridge Assessment English were Lorna Pedersen, winner of the Inspiration award; Karen Altmayer, winner of the Agile Angel Award and Jodie Watson, winner of the Tech Star Award. The winners all work in the department of Cambridge Assessment English that is developing new digital learning and assessment products and capabilities, such as games, diagnostic testing and apps to help people learn English and prove their skills to the world. Another member of the team, developer Hayley Newton also judged the Games Development Award at the event that was held in Norwich, UK.
