Brigita completed her DPhil in General Linguistics and Comparative Philology at the University of Oxford where she specialised in multilingualism, discourse analysis and corpus linguistics. Her areas of expertise/interest at Cambridge Assessment English are the Occupational English Test (OET), impact studies, corpus linguistics and multilingualism. She is also a member of the Cambridge English Listening Skills group.
Prior to joining Cambridge Assessment English, Brigita gave tutorials in sociolinguistics and academic writing at the University of Oxford and University College London. She also worked as Bilingual Health Advocate for the NHS and as a freelance interpreter and translator.
Brigita is fluent in five languages and in her spare time she is trying to further expand her linguistic repertoire. She also enjoys reading, travelling and baking with her children.
