Why Cambridge English?
People planning to teach English as a foreign language can now apply for a loan to help with the costs of training at a college or training provider in England.
CELTA, a leading qualification from Cambridge English, is now eligible for funding under the Advanced Learner Loans scheme. Eligible individuals can apply for funding of up to £1,417 and loans do not have to be repaid until the course has been completed and the person is earning a specified amount.
CELTA is taken by thousands of people each year and is recognised by employers of English teachers all over the world. It covers essential knowledge, offers hands-on practical experience teaching real language learners and boosts classroom confidence.
David Charnaud from Cambridge English said:
‘Teaching English remains a really rewarding career choice and this funding boost will help even more people gain an internationally recognised teaching qualification. Each year thousands of people take CELTA as it gives them the chance to really demonstrate to employers their commitment to becoming quality English language teachers.
