Overview:
This webinar is aimed at teachers who are preparing candidates, or are going to prepare candidates, for the Cambridge English: Key for Schools exam.
Participants will gain a greater understanding of how they can use the Language specifications and Vocabulary list in the Handbook for Teachers to inform their teaching and to make their learners more aware of how functional language is used.
The webinar will focus on classroom practice and on providing teachers with ideas and activities that they can apply in their own settings to improve learners’ preparation for the exam.
Presenters:
Rachel Harding
Rachel taught English in Taiwan and Cambridge before joining Cambridge English in 2005. While at Cambridge English, she worked on many different exams, including Cambridge English: Key and Key for Schools. She is now a consultant for Cambridge English and she regularly provides teaching material for the website. She has also written coursebooks for various publishers.
Coreen Docherty, Principal Research & Validation Manager, Cambridge English
Coreen is a Principal Research and Validation Manager at Cambridge Assessment English. As part of her role, she leads on research investigating the impact of Cambridge English exams on stakeholders and provides validation and research support for the ‘for Schools’ exams. She has extensive EFL/ESL experience, having taught English, trained teachers and developed course material in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Canada.
