In this practical session, we will look at tips and strategies to help your students feel as comfortable as possible when exam day finally rolls around. To help minimize any last-minute surprises or distractions we will cover the practicalities of what candidates should expect before and during the exam, like what they can and can't bring into the exam room itself. We will also take the time to provide you with some last-minute teaching tips for each paper including the speaking test.

Language play is the use of language for fun or to give pleasure, "time out" as it were from serious goal-oriented interactions. It is a vital component of human interaction, often functions as an affirmation of participants` identities and affiliations, and promotes language acquisition. In this workshop we shall experience a number of "language play" activities, contrasted occasionally with conventional language learning games, and discuss their contribution to learning and motivation.
