How adaptive testing works within the Reading and Listening module

The Reading and Listening module is adaptive: questions become easier or more difficult depending on an individual’s previous answer. As a result, every candidate receives a unique version of the test tailored to their ability level. This means that the test is suitable for all abilities and offers a personalised experience.

Our free demo allows you to experience how the level of difficulty changes during the test based on your previous answer. It will also help you to familiarise yourself with the Cambridge English Test portal. As this is for demonstration purposes only, the questions are examples and will not feature in the test.
