This presentation delves into the advancements and features of Linguaskill Business, a cutting-edge digital high-stakes exam that certifies English proficiency. We will discuss how functional competence descriptors have enabled us to accurately score speaking skills up to C2 on the CEFR scale. Additionally, we will explore the integration of machine learning and AI to develop a fast, reliable, and on-demand testing solution. The session will also cover the workings of adaptive technology and demonstrate how our fully modular, digital test effectively assesses the English skills essential for both work and study environments.

Developing advanced writers in a second language requires a clear understanding of what differentiates effective writers at B2, C1 and C2, and a toolkit of effective teaching strategies. This dynamic training session will explore the core components of advanced writing, such as genre awareness, stylistic precision and strategies effective writers use. Teachers will engage in discussion, exploring about various approaches to teaching writing, and look at specific techniques that help learners develop their writing skills at higher levels. Teachers will leave with a clearer understanding of how best to differentiate writing at higher levels, as well as practical tips and ready-to-implement activities for the writing classroom.
