Presenters

Alberto Costa

Alberto is working as a Senior Assessment Services Manager for Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Based in São Paulo, Brazil Alberto has worked in English Language Teaching for more than three decades, as a teacher, teacher trainer, academic consultant and course tutor for the teaching qualifications CELTA and DELTA. In his current role he’s working with teachers and schools to promote sound assessment practices and has presented on different areas of language teaching and assessment in Brazil and Latin America. He holds the Cambridge RSA Diploma for Overseas Teachers of English (DOTE) and has a specialization in teacher training from the College of St. Mark & St. John in Plymouth, UK. His main interests include language assessment and professional development for teachers.

Sarah Ellis

Sarah Ellis is currently working as Senior Manager, Assessment Services, for Cambridge University Press and Assessment. She is based in Bologna, Italy. Sarah is interested in Assessment, Learning & Professional Development and has an extensive background in teaching, teacher training, assessment and exam management. She has trained teachers on CELTA and DELTA courses and is currently involved in the Cambridge professional development and teacher support programme which provides support for teachers and academic directors. She is particularly interested in supporting teachers in developing digital skills and assessment literacy.
