Clare Harrison
Clare has worked at Cambridge for more than two decades, following an earlier career as a teacher trainer and educational manager. She joined Cambridge Assessment English to develop a new test for teachers, the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). Since then, she has contributed to a wide range of English language examinations and teaching qualifications, including leading the development of a Teacher Portfolio. She later headed up the Teacher Development and Curriculum team, overseeing the day-to-day running of Cambridge Assessment English’s key Teaching Qualifications, such as CELTA and DELTA, and the development of tailored curricula for clients. Clare also led the development of the Cambridge English Curriculum Skills Framework, which is aligned to the CEFR and forms a foundation for our courses and examinations. More recently, she has worked closely with publishing colleagues in the merged Cambridge University Press and Assessment on a variety of projects and has played a key role in shaping our approach to integrated learning and assessment. She is currently taking a lead on assessment content quality, with a particular focus on maintaining high standards as we innovate. Her educational interests include the science of learning and the integration of curriculum, learning/teaching approaches and assessment.
