Different types of centre

Around the world, Cambridge English is recognised for the quality of its exams and the high value of its qualifications. We work closely with all of our centres to make sure that they deliver exams to the highest of standards, and that they provide excellent customer service.

Authorised Cambridge English examination centres

We have an extensive global network of authorised exam centres. They:

administer the exams to Cambridge English quality standards
organise the recruitment and training of Speaking examiners (except in the UK)
actively promote Cambridge English exams
ensure the security of confidential materials
comply with guidelines for use of our branding and logo
abide by financial arrangements, as outlined in the Centre Agreement
make a financial investment in setting up and running the centre.

Platinum Centres

Platinum centres need to meet criteria that include excellence in customer service, high quality exam delivery and a willingness to work in partnership with us.

Preparation centres

A preparation centre is a school, institution, private language school or language centre that prepares and enters students for Cambridge English exams through an authorised exam centre.

IELTS centres

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is owned, developed and delivered through a partnership of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English. Linguaskill Agents

Linguaskill is distributed through our network of authorised agents who run and administer the test. Linguaskill agents, also known as channel partners, promote and administer the test for companies, higher education institutions and training providers who need to establish a candidate’s level of English.

We work with channel partners and agents who can provide excellent customer service and ensure that the standards that institutions and learners expect from Cambridge English are upheld. In return, we offer comprehensive support to help agents deliver the test effectively and efficiently. This includes a wide range of technical support, tools and advice.
