Earlier in March we welcomed some special guests to Cambridge as part of a significant trip to the UK. In celebration of 200 years since Peru gained its independence, the Asociación Cultural Peruano Británica made the journey to Cambridge for the day as part of their visit to the Peruvian Embassy in London. To mark the milestone – which was officially celebrated on 28 July 2021 – Británico Perú has edited a book called ‘Perú Gran Bretaña, una historia en común’, which details the history of Peru’s relationship with Great Britain during the 200-year period.
The visiting party included Pierre Montauban (President), Enrique Anderson, OBE (Vice-president & President of the Peruvian British Chamber of Commerce), Gonzalo De Cárdenas (General manager), and Mauricio Novoa, Book Editor and Cambridge alumni. As a key partner in the Americas, colleagues from English made them feel welcome and helped them to see the sights in Cambridge
