How to help your child feel prepared

Your child is nearly ready to take their exam. We understand you want everything to go well and help them feel prepared on the day. That way, your child will feel more confident and relaxed.

Top tips

If your child is feeling confident, pause the Speaking test video after the examiner asks a question. Ask your child to give their answer to the question.

You could also encourage your child to find their favourite pictures or family photographs at home, and talk about them in English. In the Speaking test, children are often given a picture to talk about.
