Students wanting to find out more about BMAT – the BioMedical Admissions Test – can find answers in the latest Live Chat event held in July 2019 and now available online. Experts from BMAT developer Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing are joined by fourth year UCL medical student Wisdom Ohia, and respond to questions from students around the world keen to learn more about BMAT administration and how best to prepare for the test.

Following an overview of BMAT, the BMAT team answer a wide range of questions with additional insights from Wisdom, a former BMAT test-taker. For example, the team gives detailed advice on how to choose the ideal test date (as four test dates are now available every year), confirm the level of English required, and discuss how best to prepare for the different test sections (especially Section 3, the essay test). Wisdom also has useful tips on how much study time students may need and how to stay motivated in the run up to the test. A key recommendation is to regularly consult the official BMAT website, as this is the main source of up to date information about the test. Students can now watch the July Live Chat online, and additional follow up questions and answers are also available on the BMAT website.
The July Live Chat proved to be so popular that the BMAT team is now planning an additional Live Chat session for the autumn. As Paul Crump, Assessment Group Manager comments: ‘This type of interactive session is always very well received by students wanting to know more about BMAT and how to prepare. The contribution of Wisdom Ohia was particularly welcome, as he could describe the BMAT experience from the test-taker’s perspective which I’m sure many students found extremely useful.’
BMAT Live Chats are part of an impressive range of free preparation resources provided by Admissions Testing designed to give all students the tools they need to effectively prepare for BMAT.
