For exams taken from 1 September, children taking Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners will get more detailed and personalised feedback.
The newly designed Statement of Results will help support learning as it will give feedback on children’s strengths including practical ideas and areas for improvement. Experts from Cambridge say it will be a big help to children learning English and their parents and teachers.
Guy Chapman, Head of Schools at Cambridge Assessment English, said:
‘Our qualifications for young learners are designed to motivate and encourage children taking their first steps in English. We really want language learning to be a positive experience for children, and this has been the driving force behind the new way of presenting results. The new Statement of Results supports learning by giving students and their parents the detailed feedback they need to progress.’
Teachers and parents will be able to access the results as soon as they are ready online, which means they do not have to wait for a certificate to arrive. The results are available in English as well as versions in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Russian, Turkish and Vietnamese.
