About the modules

There are three DELTA modules. All three modules include a focus on theory and practice. You can take as many of the modules as you want, and in any order.

Module One	Understanding Language, Methodology and Resources for Teaching
Module Two	Developing Professional Practice
Module Three	Option 1: Extending Practice and ELT Specialism Option 2: English Language Teaching Management

What will I learn in each DELTA module?

Module One	This module focuses on extending and developing candidates’ knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning English in a range of contexts.
Module Two	This module focuses on developing awareness and expertise in the principles and professional practice of teaching English in a range of contexts.
Module Three, option one	You will carry out an independent investigation, leading to the design of a course programme.
Module Three, option two	You will carry out an independent situation analysis, leading to the design of a change proposal looking at an area of management.

How is DELTA assessed?

Each DELTA Module is assessed in a different way:

DELTA Module 1: written examination
DELTA Module 2: a portfolio of coursework, including lesson observations
DELTA Module 3: a written assignment
