Verifying results

The online Results Verification Service is for:

• universities
• colleges
• employers
• other organisations that accept our exams.

It allows people to check Cambridge English exam results quickly, accurately and securely.

Organisations wishing to check an IELTS result should use the IELTS Results Service.

People who have taken our exams should not use it to check their results. Candidates can check their results online using the Online Results Service.

Go to the Results Verification Service website and enter your username and password to log in.

For Cambridge English Qualifications and Teaching Qualifications

• Candidates can share their results directly with your organisation’s RVS account by logging into the Candidate Results Website and choosing to share their results with your organisation’s RVS account. When you log into the RVS, you will see new candidates listed in bold.
• Candidates not using the Candidate Results Website can provide you with their verification or reference number and date of birth to enable verification. Select the ‘Candidate Search’ tab and enter the candidate details to view their results. After locating your chosen candidate, you can click through to view their result details, including their overall score and component scores, test day photo, CEFR level and grade, depending on the test/exam taken.

For Linguaskill and Linguaskill for Business

Please note that only results from newer versions of Linguaskill that have a certificate can be verified on the RVS. To verify older versions of Linguaskill that have a Test Report, please refer to our Step-by-Step guide our Complete User Guide.

• You can only verify candidates’ Linguaskill results if the candidate shares their results with your RVS account. Candidates can directly share their results with your organisation by logging into the test portal, known as ‘Metrica’, and choosing to share their results with your organisation’s RVS account. New candidates will then appear in bold when you login to the service.

Your password must be at least eight characters in length, and contain at least three of the four following types of character: lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers, special characters.

I cannot view the Statement of Results pdf

1. Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed. You can download it here.
2. Make sure you have turned off the pop-up blocker, or configured it to allow pop-ups from the Results Verification Service site. The option to do this may be found in the ‘Tools’ menu of most browsers.

Not all results can be checked using this website. For example, you will not be able to verify:

• exams taken before 2005
• teaching qualifications (except Delta Module One).

It may still be possible for institutions to verify a result which is not within this system. They should use our verification request form.

• For Cambridge English Qualifications: You can share your results online by logging into the Cambridge English Results Service for Candidates and choosing to share them with your institution. Alternatively, you can email or send your Verification/Reference number and Date of Birth directly to your chosen institution and they will search for and verify your results within their RVS account.
• For Linguaskill: Log into the Linguaskill test portal (known as Metrica) and choose to share your results with your organisation’s RVS account.
