Dr Brigita Séguis
Head of Impact Evaluation
Dr Brigita Séguis is an expert in education research and impact evaluation at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. She specialises in designing and directing large-scale research programmes that generate evidence to guide international educational policy, product innovation, and classroom practice. Her work spans language learning and assessment, bilingual programmes, education reform, and the effective integration of technology and digital pedagogies.
Brigita has led complex multi-country research across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia, collaborating with ministries of education, NGOs, universities, and school networks in countries including Spain, France, the United States, Japan, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Kenya, Thailand, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan. Her research covers diverse settings, from early years and primary schools to higher education, workplace training, and education in emergencies.
As Head of Impact Evaluation, she oversees the organisation’s impact strategy and leads a specialist team that delivers rigorous quantitative and qualitative evaluations to inform policy, product development, education reform, and evidence-based decision-making. She also serves on the Advisory Group to the Cambridge English Board, where she currently holds the role of Chair.
Brigita is an established scholar with a track record of publications and conference presentations. She has reviewed for leading journals in applied linguistics and education research, and has delivered over 100 plenary talks, workshops and presentations for both academic and non-academic audiences worldwide. She holds a DPhil in Linguistics from the University of Oxford and speaks six languages.
