The Ministry of Science and Higher Education have confirmed that selected Cambridge English Qualifications can now be used for university admissions for international students in Poland. The new regulations will be a boost for higher education in Poland, which is a growing and attractive destination for international students.
Under the new Ministry regulation, only external, standardised exams are accepted for admissions. With this change, Cambridge now has 100% recognition across all higher-education institutions in Poland delivering programmes in English—a significant step forward for students, universities, and our partners across the region.
Catherine Lloyd, Director UKI & E. Europe at Cambridge University Press & Assessment said:
“We’re thrilled to confirm full nationwide recognition in Poland for non-EU students taking Cambridge English Qualifications for university admission.
This means we now have 100% recognition across all higher education institutions offering programmes in English.
It’s a very important milestone for students, universities, and our partners, and it strengthens access to global opportunities. We’re excited about this progress and the future of our work and collaboration across Poland”.
Darren Perrett, Senior Partnerships Manager at Cambridge University Press & Assessment added:
“The nationwide recognition of Cambridge English Qualifications in Poland is a powerful endorsement of the quality and reliability of international assessment. By embracing a consistent external standard, universities can be confident that applicants are evaluated against rigorous, globally benchmarked criteria. This development not only strengthens the integrity of admissions decisions but also supports Poland’s growing role as an attractive international study destination, opening up clearer and more equitable pathways for students worldwide.
As more institutions and governments recognise the importance of Cambridge English Qualifications, this decision marks an important step forward for quality assurance across the higher education sector in Poland”.
