Spain’s national postal service Correos (Sociedad Estatal Correos y Telégrafos) has announced that thousands of people applying for its annual recruitment programme can prove their English language skills with the online test Linguaskill. The move will benefit people applying for delivery, sorting and customer service roles in 2021.
Linguaskill is a cutting-edge online test developed by Cambridge Assessment English. It uses the latest technologies including Artificial Intelligence to give fast and accurate English level of individuals and groups of candidates. Correos (Sociedad Estatal Correos y Telégrafos) is a state-owned postal company, and selection tests for their recruitment programme attract over 100,000 applicants each year. The adoption of Linguaskill means that people applying for the 3,421 posts in 2021 will be able to prove their English skills by taking Linguaskill at a Linguaskill authorised exam centre or in their own homes. The test will be used to help recruit delivery and sorting staff who need at least CEFR level A2 and customer service staff who need at least B1 in English.

Linguaskill tests all four language skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening. It provides accurate results within 48 hours aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the international standard for describing language ability.
Linguaskill is the latest test from Cambridge Assessment English to be recognised by Correos. Other tests recognised are A2 Key, B1 Preliminary and above. BEC, IELTS and BULATS.
