Cambridge English Qualifications Digital for young learners take the new generation of young learners to digital fantasy worlds to show their English skills. Pre A1 Starters Digital and A1 Movers Digital give children their first taste of English assessment in a way that amuses, motivates and rewards them throughout.

Why choose digital exams for young learners?

A rewarding adventure: young learners each create their own avatar, which they customise with rewards after every task. This gives all candidates a sense of progress, encouraging a positive mindset towards learning and assessment.
Natural for the new generation: the digital tests focus on the same skills to the same CEFR levels as our paper-based tests. Some task types have been adapted for the digital format, while others are new to reflect today’s digital world.

Pre A1 Starters Digital

On the Pre A1 Starters Digital island, young explorers work their way along a map across a giant turtle, through tasks that introduce everyday written and spoken English. The language is presented in contexts such as stories, dialogue, pictures, posters and online messages, giving them a range of familiar and interactive ways to demonstrate their skills.

A1 Movers Digital

On the A1 Movers Digital island, young explorers work their way along a map across a giant dinosaur, progressing to simple conversational English. They demonstrate their skills through interactive tasks such as creating pictures, taking notes, responding to dialogue and online messages, matching words to pictures and filling gaps in sentences.
