Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners help children show their English skills through familiar, enjoyable activities, such as colouring, finding differences and matching. Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers gently introduce children to English assessment and celebrate their achievement.

These tests have been developed based on decades of world-leading expertise in language testing for young learners. Aligned to the CEFR, they provide clear milestones, goals and next steps.

Pre A1 Starters

Pre A1 Starters is the first milestone for children to reach. At this level, they can demonstrate simple English use such as spelling their name and saying how old they are.

A1 Movers

A1 Movers is the next step for children. At this level, they progress to engaging with questions about everyday life.

A2 Flyers

A2 Flyers is the last exam for young learners. At this level, they are able to build and link sentences.
