Cambridge Assessment English supported Brains Eden 2018 – the UK’s largest international student games festival, which was held at Anglia Ruskin University.
35 international teams went head to head in a ‘games jam’. During the jam, students had 48 hours to develop a game on this year’s theme - ‘Unreliable’.
Experts from Cambridge Assessment English were part of the judging panel and they also provided an award category - ‘Storytelling without words’ – was awarded to Roses For Her developed by Digital Arcade Enthusiasts from Howest, Belgium.
Justin Walthal from Cambridge Assessment English’s Digital and New Product Development Team said ‘Games are an increasingly important part of the learning landscape, so it was fantastic to meet the next generation of game developers and feel the buzz of creativity in the room. I’m sure many of those here will go on to make a real impact in the gaming world!’
