The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences is now accepting results from the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) for students applying to study healthcare-related courses. The move means that anyone applying to study Medicine, Odontology, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine courses at the university can now use BMAT results as part of the application process to the institution.
Professor Ingrida Janulevičienė, Dean of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences said,
‘We are excited to extend international students admission framework considering BMAT as an option. BMAT’s concrete focus on biomedical background especially meets our needs as a specialized biomedical university. We hope to offer wider possibilities for international students from all around the world to apply to Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and to achieve their dream to study Medicine, Odontology, Veterinary Medicine or Pharmacy.’
BMAT was developed by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing, part of the University of Cambridge. It is used by universities around the world to select applicants for Medical, Dental and Biomedical courses. It tests key skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and application of scientific knowledge that are crucial for success on an academically demanding, science-based degree.

BMAT was established in 2003 and was originally used by three universities in the UK. It’s now used by more than 30 universities, in 13 countries including Poland, the Netherlands, Italy and Thailand.
