The Cambridge English exams have again been awarded a prestigious stamp of approval for quality from the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE).
Following a rigorous audit, the exams have been awarded the ALTE Q-Mark, which shows that Cambridge English exams display consistent standards of excellence.
Members of ALTE can apply for the indicator and to be successful they have to meet 17 quality standards that cover all stages of the language testing production process including administration, logistics, marking, grading and communication with stakeholders.
Research Manager, European Projects, Graham Seed said: ‘The ALTE Q-mark is a real badge of honour for language test providers and it shows that Cambridge English exams are backed by important professional quality standards. When you consider the high stakes nature of providing language exams, this is a real achievement for Cambridge English.’
ALTE is an association of language test providers who work together to promote the fair and accurate assessment of linguistic ability across Europe and beyond. ALTE organises courses and conferences on aspects of language assessment, and operates a quality auditing system of European language examinations.
