The Cambridge Personal Styles Questionnaire (CPSQ) will be included in the national training programme for Italian teachers who want to become careers guidance counsellors.
ASNOR, Italy’s National Association for Careers Guidance Counsellors, has signed an agreement with the Italian Einsteinweb, Cambridge English Admissions Testing centre, to embed CPSQ into ASNOR’s training module which focusses on soft skills for career guidance counsellors. Annie Pontrandolfo, Director of ASNOR, said 'We believe that schools and especially teachers have a fundamental role in directing and supporting students' career and life choices.'
CPSQ is an online assessment that helps organisations to identify people’s values and behaviours by focussing on how they approach tasks and interact with others.
Vittorio De Paola, Senior Business Development Manager at Cambridge Assessment said:
“The results from CPSQ will give a clear insight into a teacher’s personal approach in areas such as collaboration, problem solving, empathy and engagement with learning. This will help teachers to learn the skills they need to take the next step in their career journey.”
CPSQ is developed by Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing, a department of Cambridge University and it is used by organisations all over the world for selection and personal development.
ASNOR collaborates with universities all over the world to train career guidance counsellors who deliver services in schools, universities and other organisations. This includes working with around 300 schools in Italy and are the only organisation in this sector approved by Italy’s Ministry of Education to train school staff in this area. Teachers taking the module with CPSQ will be able to register for the National ASNOR register, a directory that recognises the skills and abilities of those who work in the field.
