The University of Bath is the latest UK university to accept results from the Test of Mathematics for University Admission (from Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing) for students applying to study maths and maths-related courses.
Mike Nicholson, the University of Bath’s Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions, said: ‘The University of Bath is keen to recognise activity which enables candidates to develop skills and knowledge which supports their chosen degree programmes. A strong performance on the Test of Mathematics for University Admission will ensure candidates can receive an alternative offer for courses which require a high level of Mathematics literacy.’
The Test of Mathematics for University Admission is focused on skills not typically tested in school qualifications, such as mathematical reasoning and application. As a result, test scores help universities identify students with the best chance of success on any degree course which requires good mathematical knowledge and ability.
The University of Bath is accepting Test of Mathematics for University Admission results for students applying for certain courses starting in 2020 onwards.
